Today was the longest ride of the first week, although it is still shorter than the shortest ride next week. There were two good climbs when I did use my granny gear, both with no shade and very hot (close to 90 degrees), but we had tailwinds most of the day to make up for that. There was also a very spectacular ancient dry river bed that we went through (pictures below).
