  2. Control & gust lock REMOVE
  3. Electronics & avionics power OFF
  4. Look around, Master ON
  5. Fuel quantity CHECK
  6. Flaps DOWN, beacon CHECK
  7. Master OFF
  8. Alt. static source valve (if any) OFF
  9. Fuel selector set to BOTH

Fuselage

  1. Left fuel tank DRAIN
  2. Left paneling and baggage door CHECK

Tail

  1. Tail control surfaces CHECK
  2. All bolts SECURE
  3. Rudder, counterweights, trim CHECK
  4. Tail lights & VOR antennas CHECK

Fuselage

  1. Right paneling CHECK
  2. Antennas CHECK

  3. ELT, transponder, radios, others (as applicable)

Right Wing

  1. Right fuel tank DRAIN
  2. Right wing flaps SECURE
  3. Aileron FREE, counterweights CHECK
  4. Tip & leading edge CHECK
  5. Tire & wheel brakes CHECK
  6. Fuel CHECK visually at vented cap

Nose

  1. Engine cowling SECURE
  2. Oil 4-6 quarts SAE 15W50
  3. Fuel strainer & belly DRAIN
  4. Engine compartment CHECK
  5. Shimmy damper, nose steering rods SECURE
  6. Nose strut CHECK (2 fingers clearance)
  7. CHECK for oil leaks
  8. Prop & spinner CHECK
  9. Oil cooler & alternator belt CHECK
  10. Carb air filter CLEAR
  11. Landing light & taxi light (if any) CHECK
  12. Nose wheel CHECK
  13. Static port CLEAR

Left Wing

  1. Fuel CHECK visually
  2. Pitot & fuel vents CLEAR
  3. Stall warning vent area CHECK
  4. Leading edge & tip CHECK
  5. Aileron FREE, counterweights CHECK
  6. Left wing flaps SECURE
  7. Tire & wheel brakes CHECK
